EchoCare Notes
Privacy Policy
EchoCare Notes collects no data of any kind.
EchoCare Notes turns recorded sessions into structured clinical notes entirely on your device. There is no account or sign-in, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app never transmits your recordings, transcripts, or notes anywhere — there is nothing for us to collect, so we collect nothing.
How processing works
All AI processing happens on your device using Apple's built-in technologies:
- Transcription — Apple's on-device SpeechAnalyzer converts your recording to text locally.
- Note generation — Apple Intelligence (Apple's on-device Foundation Models) drafts the structured note (SOAP, DAP, BIRP, summary, or outline) locally.
- Translation — switching a session between English and Spanish uses Apple's on-device Translation framework.
None of these steps send your content to Apple, to us, or to anyone else. The first time you transcribe, iOS may download Apple's speech and translation model assets — a one-time system download from Apple that contains no user content.
Where your data lives
Your recordings, transcripts, and notes are stored only on your device, encrypted at rest by iOS file protection. The app can be locked with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. You can delete any session inside the app at any time, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. Because nothing is ever gathered or transmitted, there is no off-device copy for anyone to access, correct, or delete.
Note for clinicians: EchoCare Notes is designed so client and patient information never leaves your device. You remain responsible for your own professional, legal, and regulatory obligations — including device security, consent for recording where required, and how you store or share anything you export.
Microphone
The app asks for microphone access for exactly one purpose: recording sessions you choose to record. Audio is captured to encrypted on-device storage and is never transmitted. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
Not medical advice. EchoCare Notes is a documentation aid only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. Always review generated notes; you are responsible for the accuracy of any record you create or keep.
Children
EchoCare Notes is a professional tool intended for adults and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time — for example if a future version adds an optional feature that changes how data is handled. When it changes, the date above will be updated, and the current version will always live at this address.
